Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama (35401) – Alabama nursing jobs
- Assignment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: April 5, 2026
- Duration: 13-week travel nurse contract
- Shift: 12-hour days (07:00-19:00), every other weekend, holidays as required
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours per week available)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,720 - $1,840
- Dress Code: Solid Navy Scrubs
- Parking: On-site parking available
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (required)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact State (no temporary licenses accepted)
- Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; will consider candidates with at least 18 months of experience and at least 1 year in Med/Surg Telemetry
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to trauma, surgical, orthopedic, and urology patients in a hospital setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists
- Manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring individualized patient care
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, administer medications, and perform comprehensive nursing assessments
- Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR
- Float to other hospital units or facilities as required to support patient care needs
- Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
