- Unit: Level II RN ICU Stepdown (Neuromusculoskeletal)

- End Date: April 4, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 3x12 hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights), including weekends, holidays, on-call, and charge nurse responsibilities as needed
- Number of Openings: 5
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2160 - $2210
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NY RN license required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – American Heart Association
- Telemetry nursing experience required
- High-acuity stroke and neurosurgery nursing experience required
- Proficiency with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3%NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS (Deep Brain Stimulator) insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to patients in the ICU Stepdown unit
- Conduct high-acuity neuro and neurosurgical assessments and interventions
- Monitor and manage telemetry and advanced neurovascular equipment
- Work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
- Serve as charge nurse, preceptor, and participate in nursing committees
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Uphold service excellence and pursue ongoing professional nursing development
