Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, eligible for Ohio nursing jobs
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Ability to float within the hospital and to nearby affiliate healthcare facilities as needed
- First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply
- Must pass a comprehensive background check (no DUIs or background hits)
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to a diverse medical-surgical population
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing procedures as prescribed
- Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process
- Float to other units or affiliate hospitals within the Akron, Ohio area as required
