Registered Nurse Qualifications
- At least 18 months of recent, permanent experience as a Med/Surg Telemetry RN
- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state RN license
- One supervisory reference from a Med/Surg Telemetry manager, ANM, supervisor, or director
- Current BLS and required certifications (must be active at submission)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- BCI/FBI fingerprinting completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests during orientation
- Ability to pass a negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen (if applicable)
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and patient condition changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
- Provide patient education and support to patients and their families
- Participate in unit orientation, ongoing clinical training, and annual competency modules
