Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of recent OB/GYN, pediatric, and vascular sonography experience and required ARDMS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital setting
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday through Tuesday
- Ultrasound procedures performed include pediatric, OB/GYN, and vascular exams
- Patient population includes adult and pediatric cases
- Assignment length is 9 weeks
- Responsibilities include performing ultrasound procedures to assist with diagnosis and treatment, producing images for radiologist interpretation, and maintaining required documentation
- Performs required equipment quality control and reports deficiencies as needed
- Adheres to regulatory and accreditation agency standards
- No first-time travelers accepted
Requirements
- Minimum Associate degree in Radiography with Vascular Sonography Certificate, or graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography or Echocardiography program
- At least 2 years of recent ultrasound experience in a U.S. hospital required
- Active State/District license required if applicable
- ARDMS, OB, and ABD certifications required
- Pediatric, OB/GYN, and vascular sonography experience required
- American Heart Association certifications required
- CPI certification mandated by position
- Two professional references from managers or supervisors verifying recent work experience preferred
- U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
