Travel ICU RN Job Details

- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour variable night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
- Bed Size: 7 licensed ICU beds
- Patient Ratio: 2:1
- Scrub Colors: Navy Blue
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or Critical Care nursing experience
- Active Illinois RN license required
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- Ability to float to Emergency Room (ER) or Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) units as needed (orientation provided)
- Strong communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills
- COVID-19 vaccine not required at this time (subject to change)
- Travel nursing candidates only (must reside outside a 40-mile radius of Mount Vernon, IL)
ICU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications and perform interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Float to ER or Med-Surg units as needed; may serve as House Supervisor (orientation provided)
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records
- Participate in crash cart checks, temperature checks, and supply management
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
