Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Allen, Texas 75013 (Dallas-Fort Worth area)
- Healthcare Setting: New 10-bed Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
- Assignment Start Date: December 15, 2025
- Assignment End Date: March 15, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00am – 7:30pm), including weekends and holidays as needed
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel RN (W2)
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for post-operative surgical and orthopedic patients
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to post-operative and orthopedic patients in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry environment
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and perform treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety standards
- Participate in unit activities and contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture
