Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Mammo Tech - Mammo Tech
Job Details:
• Work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Saturday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM as needed
• Perform screening mammograms for average of 38 patients per day
• Conduct diagnostic mammograms for average of 18 patients per day
• Operate GE Senographe Pristina mammography equipment
• Use Cerner and Penrad documentation systems
• Perform advanced procedures including stereotactic biopsies, pre-surgical localizations, and contrast enhanced mammography
• Must be competent in additional imaging views such as magnification and spot compression views
• Required to float to other breast centers as needed
• Work in large breast center with average of 10 techs on site per day
• Dress code requires pink top and black pants
• Must have screening mammogram experience and be fully confident with demonstrating complicated mammographic cases to radiologists
• Required certifications: Current ARRT (R) and (M) Mammography certification, BLS certification
• Must meet MQSA standards including 40 hours initial mammography training, continuing education, 200 mammograms per 2 years, 8 hours digital mammo training, and 8 hours digital tomosynthesis training
• IV certification preferred with competency in invasive and sterile procedures
• Experience working in women's imaging center with sensitivity to patients with cancer history including lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment

This 815-bed acute care facility serves as the regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care in western North Carolina. The facility is the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and children's hospital in the region, offering specialties including cardiovascular services with the only open heart and interventional cardiology program in the area. The hospital features a 96-bed children's hospital with a 51-bed Level III Neonatal ICU and has earned recognition from U.S. News & World Report, Truven Health Analytics, and Healthgrades. The facility recently opened a new state-of-the-art patient tower with over 630,000 square feet including a new Emergency Department and 220 private patient rooms.
