Are you a skilled RN with a passion for cellular therapies? Ready to make a profound impact in cancer care—and elevate your career? Novant Health is recruiting an HCT & Cellular Therapy Apheresis Registered Nurse for our Transplantation & Cellular Therapy team.
What You'll Do:
- Educates and explains apheresis procedure and provides health teaching to patients and families.
- Performs apheresis procedures independently while following department/program policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements (ex. FDA, FACT).
- Administers pre-transplant conditioning chemotherapy regimens and pre-CAR T lympho-depleting chemotherapy.
- Performs hematopoietic cell transplantation and cellular product infusions.
- Maintains and cares for patient venous access used during apheresis procedure.
- Monitors patients daily post-transplant and post-CAR T.
Qualifications:
- RN license in NC or compact state • BLS & ACLS required
- 1+ year apheresis experience collecting HPCs and MNCs preferred
- BSN preferred; will consider equivalent experience
- ONCC OCN/BMTCN or ASCP QIA credential preferred or in progress
- Chemotherapy‑Immunotherapy Certificate (ONS/ONCC) or equivalent — required within 6 months of hire

What We're Looking For:
- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. BSN, preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of apheresis experience in the collection of hematopoietic progenitor cells (HPC, Apheresis) and mononuclear cells (MNC, Apheresis) preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current NC or compact state RN license, required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification, required.
- Current (or actively pursuing) the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and/or Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMTCN) credential or the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Qualification in Apheresis (QIA) credentials, preferred.
- Completion of ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate or equivalent within 6 months of hire, required.
- Additional Skills (required):

- Additional Skills (preferred): Knowledge of HCT and cellular therapy processes, including mobilization, apheresis, Spectra Optia® Apheresis System, HCT/cellular product infusion, chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR T) therapies and complications, and standards of the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) preferred.
