Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant - Up To $6k Placement bonus!

JABBERGYM is hiring Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants in Sacramento and Elk Grove

Must Have:

Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program
Current California Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License

Our therapist only works 10 months out of the year but get paid for 12 months

Job Group Description: Jabbergym

Overtime Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
Conduct therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, following established goals and treatment strategies.
Guide patients through therapeutic activities and exercises to improve strength, coordination, fine motor skills, and independence.
Monitor and document patient progress, noting changes in performance and communicating observations to the supervising OT.
Prepare and maintain therapy equipment, materials, and treatment areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.
Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and adaptive techniques for continued progress outside of therapy sessions.

Minimum Skills or Qualifications:

Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program
Knowledgeable in occupational therapy, multi-disciplinary childhood-intervention theories, and rehabilitation principles and practices.
Utilizes Sensory Integration and occupational therapy techniques used in the assessment and treatment of children with disabilities.
Must relate well to children and their families.
DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance
Pro-Act, CPI and/or CPR certification helpful

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Requires frequent reaching, handling, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, running, carrying, and lifting 50 or more lbs.
Must be able to see and hear within normal range with or without correction.
The noise intensity level is moderate to high
