Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Fargo, North Dakota 58104
- Healthcare Setting: Acute care, Medical-Surgical Unit (32 beds)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)
- Hours: 36 hours per week (Guaranteed)
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night), every other weekend and holiday
- Employment Type: Travel nursing job
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2050-$2200
- Charting System: EPIC EMR
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs in ND)
- Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital (250+ beds)
- Experience in a busy environment and Level 1 trauma setting preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Willingness to float to all Med/Surg units across three Fargo campuses
- Must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Demonstrate clinical competency within the full scope of medical-surgical nursing practice
- Deliver care to adult medical/surgical patients, including those with behavioral health needs
- Utilize clinical equipment such as telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, and Omnicell
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 (days) and 6:1 (nights)
- Float to other Med/Surg units as needed throughout the healthcare system
- Comply with facility protocols, including badge in/out procedures
