Travel Nurse Job Details

- Assignment Type: Travel RN
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shifts: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00am – 7:30pm) or 2x12-hour & 2x8-hour (7:00am – 3:30pm or 10:45am – 7:15pm) per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 40 hours/week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2520 - $2700
- On-Call: Two weekday calls plus two 24-hour weekend calls per schedule
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Charting: Epic EMR
- Scrub Color: Provided
CVOR RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR Registered Nurse experience (1.5 years with Level I Trauma or travel nurse experience considered)
- Active RN license (Connecticut or compact state; pending license accepted if active by start date)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Proficient in independently scrubbing and circulating cardiac surgery cases
- Experience with CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, and advanced cardiac procedures
- One professional reference required
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Not accepting local candidates within 75 miles
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for complex cardiovascular operating room procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain strict sterile technique and adhere to patient safety protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergent cardiac cases
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
- Support and mentor less experienced nursing staff
