CVOR RN Job Details – Alaska Nursing Jobs

- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse Contract
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: April 6, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Nursing Shift: 4x10-hour days (07:00 - 17:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks
- On-call: Required (including weekends)
- Charting System: Epic
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Parking: Free
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2460 - $2640
CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR RN experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- Active Alaska RN license (pending license accepted; preference for license in hand)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
- Hepatitis B vaccine required
CVOR RN Responsibilities
- Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients
- Assist with advanced procedures including CABG, TAVR, Mitral valve replacement, MAZE procedure, and atrial septal defect repair
- Administer blood and blood products, manage wound care, and uphold infection control standards
- Maintain safety protocols for fire, laser, and radiation in the operating room
- Handle and label surgical specimens according to universal protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation and float to support hospital staffing needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care
