Ultrasound Tech Job Details – Rockville, MD
- Location: Rockville, MD 20850 (Greater Washington, D.C. area)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (12/15/2025 – 3/16/2026)
- Setting: Hospital Radiology Department
- Shift: Night shift, Monday through Friday, 10:00pm – 6:30am
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,030 - $2,190
- Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Employment Type: Travel Ultrasound Tech
Ultrasound Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Hospital Ultrasound Technologist or Ultrasound Tech
- Valid State License (required at time of submission)
- ARDMS certification required (OB/GYN required, AB preferred)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Experience with Cerner charting system
- Community hospital experience required
- COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Strict no-tobacco policy (nicotine screening required)
- Ability to float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital as needed
- Two supervisor references required
Ultrasound Tech Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of ultrasound procedures, including OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, pediatric, and emergency studies
- Utilize advanced ultrasound equipment and technology (including Trophon)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including interpretation services and rapid response teams
- Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging for patients across all age groups and acuity levels
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in Cerner
- Maintain infection control and isolation precautions as required
- Participate in orientation and annual training modules
- Float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed
