Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in CT, X-ray, and rotating between emergency department settings, with ARRT and Texas Medical Board licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in freestanding emergency departments with rotation between two primary sites and possibly two additional sites
- Responsibilities include performing CT scans, X-rays, and Point of Care (POC) lab tests
- Shift is 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a pattern: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday one week and Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday the following week, then repeat
- On-call required for 3 to 4 twelve-hour shifts monthly
- Must initially report to the main hospital for onboarding
- POC Lab procedures will be trained on-site
- Position requires a commute of more than 100 miles from the facility
- Operate CT and radiographic equipment, analyzing patient body habitus and adjusting technical factors for optimal imaging results
- Assist physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supply management, and responding to contrast reactions
- Responsible for scheduling and completing exams, entering correct charge codes, and reviewing physician orders and clinical data
- Non-local candidates only (must reside more than 50 miles from the facility)
- Scrub or dress code requirements will be specified during onboarding
- Training in POC lab procedures provided upon hire
Requirements
- ARRT certification required
- Texas Medical Board (TMB) license required if applicable
- At least 2 years of CT experience in a U.S. hospital setting
- Competency in X-ray required
- AHA certifications required
- CPI certification mandated by position
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary certifications and licensure
- Active, non-pending license required for consideration
- Experience with multitasking between technical imaging and POC lab workflows
- Must provide a valid U.S. Social Security Number
- Submission of two manager or supervisor references preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
