Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Berlin, Vermont (05602) – Vermont healthcare jobs
- Unit: Women and Children’s Unit (Labor & Delivery, Newborn, Postpartum, LDRP)
- Assignment Length: Up to 16 weeks, with potential extension to 32 weeks
- Start Date: December 22, 2025
- End Date: April 12, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p), rotating every 2 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2520-$2700
- Call Requirement: 2 x 12-hour call shifts per rolling 4-week period
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
- Floating: Required as helping hands within the organization
- Orientation: 3 shifts (12 hours each)
- Documentation System: Epic, Philips Intellispace
- Medication System: Pyxis
- Dress Code: Light blue scrubs (provided by unit)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Vermont RN jobs
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience, including LDRP in a community hospital
- Experience as a baby nurse at delivery, including neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, and newborn medication administration
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
- BLS and NRP certifications (required)
- ACLS and PALS (or PEARS) certifications (preferred)
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Ability to float as needed within the organization (helping hands only)
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle (public transportation not accessible; snow tires recommended November–April)
L&D RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care for laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients in an LDRP setting
- Independently manage all aspects of LDRP patient care: labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
- Assist with newborn care, including neonatal resuscitation, APGAR scoring, and medication administration
- Perform IV starts, lab draws, PACU care post C-section, and epidural catheter removal
- Utilize electronic fetal monitors, smart pumps, and Mindray cardiac monitors
- Document patient care using Epic and Philips Intellispace EMR systems
- Float as needed to support other units (no patient assignments when floating)
- Participate in call, weekend, and holiday rotations as scheduled
- Maintain compliance with facility protocols, including N-95 fit testing and math competency testing
