Travel Nurse Job Details

- Healthcare Setting: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Recovery Unit

- End Date: March 17, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts (9:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1810 - $1940
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call Requirement: One night per week (9 PM – 7 AM) and one weekend per month
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Unit Size: 14 beds
- Charting System: Cerner
- Scrub Color: Ceil Blue or White
PACU RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Tennessee or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or surgical recovery nursing experience
- Travel nurse experience preferred
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system
- Ability to float to other units within nursing skillset
PACU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to surgical patients in the PACU
- Monitor patient recovery, vital signs, and pain management
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Respond to emergencies and provide advanced life support as needed
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner
- Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage
- Float to other nursing units as required
