- Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / ER holding stepdown
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025, End: 3/9/2026)
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
- Self-Scheduling: Available, balanced to department needs
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Holiday Requirement: Work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
- Orientation: Department-specific orientation during first week
Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1820 to $1950
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- 2+ years of recent experience in a similar size Emergency Department or Progressive Care Unit
- At least 1 previous successful travel nursing assignment
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact state)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- References from recent healthcare assignments
- Proficient in reading and charting telemetry strips (Spacelabs monitors)
- Experience with MEDITECH 6.1 charting system
- Navy scrubs required
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in the PCU/ER holding stepdown unit
- Manage patient ratios of 1:4-5, adjusted for acuity
- Monitor and interpret cardiac and neuro telemetry strips
- Collaborate with ED physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, paramedics, and patient care technicians
- Respond to critical care needs including cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, and other diagnoses
- Participate in self-scheduling and meet weekend/holiday shift requirements
- Accurately document patient care in MEDITECH
- Engage in department-specific orientation and ongoing professional development
