Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Martinsburg, WV 25401 (West Virginia nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Telemetry Unit (20-bed, all private rooms)
- Contract Length: 13-week contract
- Start Date: November 26, 2025
- End Date: February 25, 2026
- Shift: Night shift – 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours: 36 hours per week (full-time nursing job)
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotations
- Charting System: Epic EMR
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1880 - $2020
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (WV or compact state)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care or telemetry nursing experience
- Proficient in cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Professional appearance (navy blue scrubs, natural hair color, tattoos covered)
Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and medication administration
- Monitor and document cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry strips every 4 hours, and ensure accurate charting in Epic EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Manage common cardiac diagnoses such as chest pain, post-cardiac intervention, NSTEMI, and post-surgical patients
- Float to overflow telemetry or Ortho/MedSurg units as needed
- Participate in unit orientation and ongoing nursing education
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and the healthcare team
