Key Job Details – Medical/Surgical RN
- Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts (01201) – Berkshires region
- Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Unit (20-34 beds, patient ratio 1:6)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025, End: 3/16/2026)
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and one major holiday required
- Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color
- Orientation: 8 hours non-billable
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,930 - $2,070
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Medical/Surgical RN experience
- Tele nursing experience required
- Ability to float to any Med/Surg unit as needed
- Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course strongly preferred
- Meditech Expanse EMR experience strongly preferred
- Active Massachusetts RN license required
- BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications must be current and submitted at profile upload
- Traveler must have reliable transportation (own vehicle)
- Permanent address required (must reside >50 miles from facility)
- Current work history, skills checklist (within 1 year), and 1 supervisory signed reference (from past 2 years) required
- All scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted with application
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to Medical/Surgical patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other Med/Surg units as needed
- Participate in orientation and comply with facility policies and procedures
- Deliver compassionate support and education to patients and families
