- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1980–$2120

Qualifications – Operating Room RNFA
- Completion of an RNFA program meeting AORN standards and accepted by the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- ACLS certification (AHA required)
- CNOR Perioperative Nursing Certificate
- Minimum 5 years of Operating Room nursing experience, including scrubbing and circulating
- CVOR and EVH experience required
- Proficient in circulating, scrubbing, and first assist roles
- Credentialing process required prior to start (may take up to 90 days)
Key Responsibilities – RN First Assist
- Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality perioperative patient care
- Perform circulating, scrubbing, and first assist duties during surgical procedures
- Conduct and document patient assessments and reassessments
- Initiate and communicate multidisciplinary plans of care
- Maintain sterile field and monitor surgical team movement
- Demonstrate expertise in prepping, draping, and sterilization techniques
- Provide and manage surgical equipment and supplies
- Perform and document sponge, sharps, and instrument counts
- Ensure patient and associate safety in the operating room
- Administer and document medications per policy
- Delegate tasks and participate in patient/family education
- Plan and implement safe patient positioning
- Handle specimens and participate in Universal Protocol/Time-Out processes
- Manage inventory and supply documentation
- Exercise safety precautions with high-risk equipment and technology
- Foster a collaborative healthcare environment
- Perform first assist duties: exposure, tissue handling/cutting, hemostasis, and suturing
