Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Salem, MA 01970 (Greater Boston area – Massachusetts nursing jobs)
- Unit: Pingree 5 – Medical Surgical Telemetry
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/14/2025 – End: 3/14/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
- Patient Ratio: 4-5 patients per Registered Nurse
- Charting System: EPIC EMR
- Floating: Required as needed to other hospital units
- Rotating Shifts: May be required to cover open night shifts
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent telemetry nursing experience (Telemetry RN experience required)
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting cardiac telemetry strips
- Experience with adult medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Completion of all required onboarding exams and health screenings
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care to adults on a medical telemetry unit
- Monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac telemetry strips accurately
- Document all patient care activities using the EPIC electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other nursing units as needed and adapt to rotating shifts
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards
