Emergency Room RN Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Location: Holyoke, MA 01040 – Western Massachusetts nursing jobs with access to outdoor recreation, cultural attractions, and a supportive healthcare community.
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- Shifts: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts/week (18:45 – 07:15), 30-minute lunch break. Preference for 48 hours/week; 36 hours/week considered.
- Unit: Emergency Department (includes locked behavioral health unit)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,860 - $2,000
ER RN Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license or eligibility for emergency MA license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience in a large ED
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment preferred (first-time travelers with 2 years of experience may be considered)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS; TNCC, ENPC, or PALSS preferred
- CPI training provided on site
- Strong clinical skills in triage, procedural sedation, ventilator management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- References and valid state license required at submission
Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in a busy Emergency Department
- Assess, triage, and manage acute and emergent conditions for patients of all ages
- Administer and monitor procedural and continuous IV sedation
- Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: physical therapy, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
- Deliver care in a locked behavioral health unit (12-bed capacity)
- Accurately document patient care and interventions
- Participate in rapid response and emergency interventions
