Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Akron, OH 44307 (Ohio nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
- Employment Type: Travel RN Contract
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/19/2025 – End: 3/20/2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,880 – $2,020
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Compact State (Ohio RN jobs)
- Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certifications (active, not pending)
- One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Med/Surg Telemetry
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Completion of onsite badging and fingerprinting prior to start date
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Medical/Surgical Telemetry environment
- Monitor and assess patients with acute and chronic medical conditions
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
- Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families
