- Openings Available: 4 Med/Surg RN positions
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1740 - $1860
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Pennsylvania or compact state
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required prior to first shift
- ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required prior to first shift
- Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience in Med/Surg or acute care
- ICU experience highly desired for Med/Surg travel nurse roles
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission
- Develop individualized care plans and identify patient teaching needs
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission
- Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team for continuity and safety
- Supervise and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and new staff
- Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and procedures
- Contribute to team building and a positive work environment
- Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities
