Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with an IN or compact license, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

ICU unit in a hospital setting with a 7-bed capacity
Nurse to patient ratios of 2:1 and 1:1 depending on acuity
Specialized equipment includes Liberty Peritoneal Dialysis Cycler, Philips monitor, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, NICOM, and Meditech for computerized charting
Employee scheduled for three 12-hour night shifts per week with a 30-minute unpaid break per shift
Weekend shifts required
Must float as needed to all departments, including MedSurg, but not to tasks outside competency
Responsibilities include patient assessment, care delivery, evaluating outcomes, and collaboration with the care team
Dress code is professional nurse attire
Must work at least one of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
Orientation consists of 8 non-billable hours prior to start of regular schedule
No facility call-off policy in place

Requirements

Active IN or compact RN license
Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience
Current AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, and NIHSS certifications
