Travel Nursing Job Details

- Unit: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio)
- Duration: 13-week travel contract
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30pm – 7:00am)

- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1400-$1500
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Alabama or compact state)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or stepdown nursing jobs
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the Birmingham healthcare facility
Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to cardiac stepdown patients, including monitoring and assessment
- Administer prescribed medications and cardiac treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow hospital policies and procedures
- Float to other nursing units as needed
