PCU RN Job Details – New Hampshire Healthcare Jobs
- Location: Derry, NH 03038 (New Hampshire nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), 20 beds
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/23/2026)
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or as needed
- Floating: May float to Medical Surgical (Med Surg), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or Emergency Department (ED)
- Dress Code: Professional attire; no required scrub color
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Compact RN License (required for travel nursing jobs)
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience in a PCU or step-down unit
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
- Strong dysrhythmia recognition and critical drip management skills
- Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization and pacemaker patient care preferred
- Prior experience with HCA healthcare systems is a plus
- Familiarity with GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps preferred
- Experience with Expanse EMR system beneficial
PCU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to PCU patients, maintaining a 4:1 patient ratio
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage critical intravenous drips
- Provide care for pre/post cardiac cath and pacemaker patients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (5 RNs, 2 LNAs)
- Float to Med Surg, ICU, or ED as needed for clinical support
- Demonstrate strong communication and self-directed work ethic
- Participate in unit policy and guideline discussions during interview and orientation
