Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 12/10/2025 (weekly Wednesday starts available)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15)

- Healthcare Setting: 32-bed Medical/Surgical Unit

Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Ability to float to Orthopedics, Comprehensive Medical Unit, Oncology, and Accountability Care Unit as needed
- Strong clinical skills, adaptability, and teamwork
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients with diverse diagnoses, including DKA, pneumonia, COPD, diabetic ulcers, appendicitis, cellulitis, pancreatitis, osteomyelitis, unknown fevers, and flu
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 1:6
- Perform specialized procedures: NGT insertions, PICC line management, dressing changes, and wound vacs
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Float to support additional clinical units as required
