Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT-CT certification for a 13-week day shift assignment in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
Responsibilities
- Work in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital with 46 rehab beds and a 10-bed LTAC/ICU
- Responsible for CT using a GE 16-slice scanner and X-ray coverage with Siemens portable and GE C-arm for MBS studies
- Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, Sunday to Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call required 2–3 nights per week with low volume
- Every Sunday is a required work day
- Floating required within the hospital and to affiliated facilities as needed, including possible coverage at Providence Alaska Medical Center
- Epic EMR is used; experience with Epic is required
- Low volume patient setting
- Role includes both CT and X-ray responsibilities as needed
- First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
- Scrub color is flexible; any color may be worn
- Free parking is provided on site
- Travelers must complete pre-start and annual online training modules
- Travelers are expected to float and refusal may result in termination
- Travelers may only work a maximum of 1 calendar year per assignment and must take a 6-month break before returning
- Former permanent staff must wait 3 months before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; changes to requested time off may not be approved
- Facility only accepts Hepatitis B vaccines—declinations and titers will not be accepted
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- Current BLS, ARRT-R, and ARRT-CT certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Willingness to float between affiliated facilities
- Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
- License required if applicable
- Must provide a minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of recent relevant employment
- Copy of certifications required for consideration
- Must be able to provide proof of Hepatitis B vaccine; declinations or titers not accepted
