PCU Registered Nurse Job Details
- Location: Nashville, TN 37207 (Tennessee nursing jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

- Duration: 13-week nursing contract
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1440 - $1550 per week

PCU RN Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, or acute care nursing setting
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
PCU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, responding promptly to changes
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and nursing interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
