📌 Job Details

Role: Registered Nurse – NICU
Facility: UW Health – American Family Children’s Hospital
Location: Madison, WI
Unit: Neonatal ICU (Level IV), PN8
Start Date: 01/10/2026
Shift: 4x12 Day Shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM)
Duration: 13 weeks
License Requirement: WI or Compact (active at time of submission)
Charting: Epic (required)

📌 Requirements

Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience
At least 1 year Level IV NICU experience (required)
Surgical & trach/vent management experience
Experience with post-op infants, g-tubes, advanced ventilation modes
Travel experience required
Certifications:
- BLS (AHA only)
- NRP (required)
- PALS (preferred)
Must pass telemetry exam (80%+ & 100% lethal rhythm identification)
Must live 50+ miles from the facility (no locals)

26-bed Level IV NICU with high-acuity neonates
Exposure to advanced therapies: whole-body cooling, HFNC, oscillators, nitric oxide, NAVA ventilation
Multidisciplinary support (RT, PT, pharmacy, IV team, etc.)
Magnet-designated hospital
2 pre-approved PTO requests
Traveler floating required (travelers float first)
