Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York or compact state
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Labor and Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy Labor and Delivery unit
- Monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Administer medications and support pain management for patients
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and clinical interventions
