PCU RN Job Details
- Location: Liberty, MO 64068 (Kansas City area)
- Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/7/2025 – End: 3/8/2026)
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1810 - $1940
- Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Major holidays (potential time off with manager approval)
- Orientation: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (next dates: 12/8 or 12/15)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU RN experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Preferred: High acuity drip management, arterial line experience, BiPAP/Airvo proficiency
- Nicotine-free healthcare facility
- No new graduate nurses accepted
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions requiring close observation
- Administer medications, manage drips, and monitor arterial lines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float to lower acuity units as needed
- Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions
- Deliver compassionate support to patients and families
