ER RN Job Details – Asheville, North Carolina
- Location: Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC 28801
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (Level II Trauma Center)
- Job Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Start Date: October 20, 2025
- End Date: January 19, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights (6:45PM – 7:15AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,530 - $1,640 per week
- Unit Size: 101 beds
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 (medical), up to 7:1 (ED behavioral holds)
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- Preferred: Experience in Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department (100,000+ annual visits)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
- Ability to coach peers and provide real-time feedback
- Commitment to respectful behavior and positive patient experience
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations
- Collaborate with healthcare techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary teams
- Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors; document patient care in Cerner EMR system
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed
- Maintain accurate patient boards and communicate effectively with patients and families
- Follow AIDET principles and hospital policies
- Wear required navy scrubs
- Participate in ongoing training and uphold Mission Hospital’s standards of nursing excellence
