Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult patients in the Medical Surgical unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to nursing interventions
- Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for patient care and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive clinical environment
