Key Job Details – ICU Registered Nurse (Critical Care Float)
- Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan (ZIP 49007)
- Healthcare Setting: Critical Care Float Pool (ICU, TCU, CSU, MICU, NCCU, med-surg units)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: December 15, 2025
- End Date: March 16, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30), 3 shifts/week
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed, option for extra shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Patient Ratios: ICU: 2-3:1; Med-Surg: 4-6:1
- Orientation: Full week required; 8 hours of non-billable modules
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1840-$1890
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in Michigan
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
- ACLS (AHA) and BCLS (AHA) certifications
- First-time travel nurses welcome
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)
- Professional references required
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Float between ICU, TCU, CSU, MICU, NCCU, and med-surg units
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform critical interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital protocols
- Complete orientation and annual training modules
