Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details
- Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts (Cape Cod area, 02601)
- Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Med/Surg Telemetry
- Unit: Float Pool – Medical Surgical Telemetry
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: April 4, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend and holiday
- Potential to float between campuses and units
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care hospital
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Telemetry nursing experience required
- Must pass CCHC Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia Exams prior to start date
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Preferred: Experience with cardiac, oncology, surgical, dialysis, orthopedic, neuro, and post-op patients
Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and progress from admission through discharge
- Serve as a clinical resource for patient care, staff orientation, and education
- Demonstrate proficiency in nursing informatics and electronic health records
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and professional nursing standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing committees
- Maintain patient confidentiality and represent the hospital positively in the community
- Float between Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed to support patient care
