Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool position in Massachusetts requiring Epic and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Nursing Float Pool caring for medical-surgical telemetry patients
- Float between multiple hospital units as needed, including possible assignments at a nearby hospital
- Typical schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts
- EHR system used is Epic, and proficiency is required
- Eight-week contract assignment
- Responsibilities include providing care to a variety of med-surg and telemetry patients across different hospital units
- Candidates must be open to floating to nearby affiliated hospitals as urgent needs arise
- Testing will be administered on arrival, and passing is required to start
- Applicants must be prepared to complete hospital-specific onboarding modules
- Medical exemptions are permitted for mandatory vaccinations
- First-time travelers are not specifically restricted from applying
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at the time of consideration (will accept pending license during initial review)
- Minimum of 2 years recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
- Epic EMR experience required
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster, as well as Flu vaccine, required (medical exemptions permitted)
- Must pass Tele/ECG and medication tests during orientation and onboarding
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local applicants are not eligible
- Returning employees must have a six-month break from any prior employment with the health system
