ER RN Job Details
- Location: Manchester, NH (zip 03102) – New Hampshire healthcare jobs
- Assignment Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100 - $2250
- Setting: Emergency Department with 25 procedure rooms, 8 hallway beds, and a secure psychiatric annex
- Start Date: July 28, 2025
- End Date: October 27, 2025
- On-site Registered Nurse position
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New Hampshire or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong adaptability and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient assessment abilities
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work every other weekend
- Experience with EMR systems (Sunrise/Allscripts preferred)
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with acute and complex medical conditions, including cardiac, trauma, stroke, sepsis, and psychiatric emergencies
- Perform and assist with trauma care, stroke interventions, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, U/S IV and IO insertions, eye exams, EKGs, and cardiopulmonary support
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, ED Techs, and department coordinators
- Utilize advanced medical equipment such as Lucas Device, Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis
- Follow Emergency Department protocols and policies for patient assessment, orders, and care
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication within the EMR system
- Demonstrate compassion, motivation, and creativity in delivering patient-centered care
