Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Akron, OH 44304 (Ohio nursing jobs)
- Unit: 5 North – Med/Surg Telemetry
- Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
- Start Date: December 14, 2025
- End Date: February 14, 2026
- Duration: 9-week travel nursing assignment
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 - $1960
- Floating: Required as needed based on census and staffing
- Scrubs: Solid black required
- Holiday Coverage: Must be willing to work every other holiday
- RTO: Up to 7 days maximum, due at submission
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (ACEN or CCNE accredited degree)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Recent EPIC and phlebotomy experience (within last 12 months)
- Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
- Charge RN experience preferred; open to training for charge nurse duties
- Successful completion of onboarding screenings and competency exams
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond to changes in patient condition
- Perform phlebotomy and document care using EPIC EMR system
- Float to other units as required for clinical support
- Participate in charge nurse duties: patient assignments, Pyxis and crash cart checks, shift planning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and required attire
