- Location: Auburn, NY 13021 (Finger Lakes region)
- Facility: Community Hospital, 90 beds
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/7/2026)
- Shifts: 4x10 hour days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) or 3x12 hour days; 36 or 40 guaranteed hours/week
- On-Call: Required
- Unit Focus: Orthopedic surgery cases; Equipment: Olympus and Stryker; Charting: Paragon
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2330-$2500
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIHSS certification required at time of submission
- 6 CEUs in stroke-related topics prior to start
- Orthopedic OR experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- COVID-19 vaccine not required (proof or declination accepted); Flu vaccine or declination required
- At least 1 year of nursing experience required
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the operating room, specializing in orthopedic procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs for optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately using Paragon charting system
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed
- Operate Olympus and Stryker surgical equipment proficiently
- Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the surgical process
