Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Hermitage, TN 37076 (Greater Nashville area)
- Unit: 33-bed Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) unit, 6th floor Main Campus
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 13, 2026
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1440-$1550
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficient IV skills and experience with Kangaroo pumps, SCDs
- Experience with Meditech healthcare documentation system preferred
- Ability to float to other clinical units as needed
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to diverse Medical-Surgical patients
- Manage a 6:1 patient ratio during day shifts, supported by 3 patient care techs and a unit secretary
- Administer medications, monitor IVs, and operate specialized clinical equipment
- Accurately document patient care using Meditech
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain positive patient experiences and uphold hospital policies and clinical guidelines
- Participate in unit activities and foster a supportive healthcare team environment
