Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool position on night shift requiring a MA RN license and strong telemetry skills.

Responsibilities

Work in the Nursing Float Pool within a hospital setting
Care for medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
Float to multiple units as needed based on staffing demands
12-hour night shifts, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
8-week contract assignment
Utilizes Epic EMR system and hands-on experience with Epic is required
Responsible for providing comprehensive care to a diverse adult medical-surgical patient population
Completion of pass/fail Tele/ECG and medication testing required prior to start
Participation in a multidisciplinary team within the float pool environment
Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as scheduled
First time travelers will be considered for this assignment

Requirements

Active MA RN license in hand
Current BLS certification required
Minimum of 2 years’ recent MS/Tele RN experience
Strong telemetry skills and the ability to work autonomously in varied units
Experience with Epic EMR is required
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; no locals allowed
Returning employees must have a 6-month break before reapplying
COVID-19 vaccine with booster and current flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
