Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Milwaukee, WI
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)

- Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,760 - $1,890
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Wisconsin or compact state
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
- Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred)
- Experience in Med/Surg, Same Day Surgery, Detox, Bone Marrow Transplant, Mental Health, or IDD is a plus
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical hospital setting
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records
- Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences and patient rehabilitation programs
- Initiate discharge planning and provide patient/family education from admission
- Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital safety policies
- Train and supervise ancillary healthcare staff
- Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain a positive, efficient work environment through teamwork and resourcefulness
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
