Dallas Nursing Job Details
- Location: Dallas, TX 75230 (Texas nursing jobs)
- Unit: Solid Organ Transplant PCU (6EW, 6th Floor, E West Building)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/4/2025 – End: 2/3/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
- Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs
- EMR System: Meditech
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1360 - $1460
Transplant RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care or PCU nursing experience
- Strong clinical time management and organizational skills
- Ability to float to all acute care areas as needed (including med surg, general surgery, renal transplant, telemetry, neuro, ortho)
Transplant Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to solid organ transplant patients in a 17-bed Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications; and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Assist with general surgeries, kidney transplants, and pre-liver transplant workups
- Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate patient documentation
- Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1:4 for optimal care
- Demonstrate flexibility by floating to other acute care units as needed
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure positive patient outcomes
