Radiology Technologist Job Details

- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (6:00 AM – 7:00 PM); must be available until last patient is cared for
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekends: As needed
- Call: No call required
- Floating: Float to other invasive cardiology areas as needed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,410 - $2,580
Radiology Technologist Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Radiology Technologist, preferably in an Electrophysiology Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or ARC only) – required for most radiology jobs
- Experience with EPIC charting system strongly preferred
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to complete pre-start modules (5-6 hours, billable)
- Must be able to work weekends as needed and stay until last patient is cared for
- Strong sterile technique and familiarity with invasive cardiology procedures
Radiology Technologist Responsibilities
- Assist with advanced cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac ablations, pacemaker/ICD implantation, and structural heart interventions
- Set up and operate radiologic equipment in the EP Lab, ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety
- Monitor and document patient status throughout procedures
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
- Prepare access sites, perform EKG lead placement, and assist with vascular closure systems
- Float to other areas within invasive cardiology as needed
- Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population, including potential COVID-19 patients
