ER RN Job Details – Augusta, GA
- Location: Augusta, Georgia 30912
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1800
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: December 15, 2025
- End Date: March 16, 2026
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Hours: 36 hours per week (guaranteed)
- Schedule: Every other weekend, 2-3 holidays, and one 24-hour call shift every 4 weeks
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
- Active Georgia RN license or compact state nursing license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
- Ability to float to all areas of the Emergency Department, including Psych, Pediatrics, and Observation
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Assess and document normal and abnormal findings in emergency patients
- Develop, coordinate, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Perform triage using ESI, administer medications, start IVs, collect blood cultures, and insert urinary catheters
- Obtain EKGs, monitor patient status, administer blood products, and provide procedural sedation
- Respond to respiratory distress/failure, code blue, code stroke, code STEMI, trauma, and sepsis cases
- Utilize equipment such as Accudose, Cerner (FirstNet), Phillips monitors, ISTATS, Accucheck, and chest tube drains
- Adhere to department policies, protocols, and pathways
- Complete a one-week preceptor-based orientation and required competency checklists
