Med/Surg RN Job Details
- Location: Fargo, North Dakota (58104) – Top destination for healthcare jobs
- Facility Setting: 32-bed inpatient Medical-Specialty Unit (Med/Surg)
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 2/16/2026)
- Hours: 36 hours per week (Guaranteed)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend and holiday required
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2050–$2200
- Floating: Float to all Med/Surg units across three Fargo campuses as needed
- Patient Ratio: 5:1 days, 6:1 nights
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital (250+ beds)
- Current BLS certification (AHA required)
- Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
- EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) charting experience
- Willingness to float to all Med/Surg units as needed
- Must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients, including those with behavioral health needs
- Collaborate with inter-professional healthcare teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Demonstrate clinical competency within the full scope of registered nursing practice and utilize age/population-specific standards
- Operate equipment such as EMR (EPIC), telemetry, Philips monitors, bladder scanner, Acuivein, and Omnicell
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
- Float to other Med/Surg units as needed to support patient care across all Fargo campuses
