Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/21/2025 – End: 3/22/2026)
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250
- Employment Type: Travel RN
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
- EMR: Epic EMR experience REQUIRED
- Weekend block schedule may be considered
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (New York State or compact, or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in PCU or ICU nursing in a large adult or community hospital
- Current ACLS certification
- Advanced hemodynamics competency, including pressor titration protocols
- Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, a line, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, and infection prevention protocols
- Proficiency with HFNC, BiPap/Cpap, and oxypendent
- Ability to pass a nursing competency test within 48 hours of submission
- Epic EMR experience required
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care to medical and surgical PCU patients
- Manage a caseload of approximately 3 high acuity patients per shift
- Monitor and respond to complex conditions: respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, and surgical complications
- Administer and titrate critical medications and drips per protocol
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Follow infection prevention protocols and hospital policies
- Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR system
